The village provides a variety of recreation and sports programs for residents and for students of the Ardsley School District. Ashford Park hosts an annual Park day, tennis tournament, 5-K run and Garage Sale. Nearby McDowell Park includes four baseball fields, a basketball court and picnic pavilion. Other smaller parks are spread throughout the community.

The Ardsley School District is highly respected within the county. The district recently earned two prestigious awards from the United States Department of Education, as Ardsley Middle School was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and the Concord Road Elementary School received the National Award for Model Professional Development.
